Nikola Stefanović, Certified State Auditor, Milena Leković and Uroš Marjanović, Senior Audit Advisors and Ivana Dragosavac, Audit Advisor attended today, on behalf of the State Audit Institution, through the Zoom platform, webinar titled "Public Sector Asset Management and EU Integration", organized by the Center for Excellence in Finance (CEF), a leading regional institution that promotes capacity building in public finances across Southeast Europe.
The online meeting, through presentations and discussions, highlighted the importance and challenges of linking public sector asset management with the EU economic governance framework and the adoption of International Public Sector Accounting Standards.
The webinar marked the start of implementation of the three-year Program "Efficient Management of Public Sector Assets" (2022-2024), which includes numerous areas of property management in the public sector. The project started with preparatory activities in January 2022, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Slovenia. The program will be implemented by the Center for Excellence in Finance, while the targeted countries are those in Southeast Europe, ie public sector authorities, responsible for the establishment, implementation and control of reform activities in state property management.
The webinar was attended by 50 representatives of supreme audit institutions from the Southeast Europe countries.
