From 1st to 3rd September 2021, the President and Auditor General, Dr. Duško Pejović, led expert consultations regarding the implementation of performance audits in the State Audit Institution.
The consultations were also attended by the Supreme State Auditors Danimir Vulinović, Snežana Trnjaković, Dragan Golubović and Ivica Gavrilović.
The performance audit teams leaders, in the presence of the team members, presented to the Auditor General the preliminary results of the performance audits, potential conclusions and recommendations, as well as key messages.
SAI is conducting 14 performance audits in accordance with the Audit Program for 2021, which was adopted by the Council of the State Audit Institution. Audits are carried out according to plan and the publishing of final audit reports is expected within the deadline set by the Audit Program.
Immediately before the presentation of the results, trainings were conducted in terms of the application of standards in the field of performance audit, in terms of report writing, clear key messages and the quality of audit work.
The trainings were supported by the Government Accountability Initiative (GAI), Project implemented by the State Audit Institution in cooperation with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in order to improve the auditors' capacity in the State Audit Institution. Experts from the United States Supreme Audit Institution - Government Accountability Office GAO), participated in the implementation of the support.
